Choosing the best Capoeira Shoes
Posted in Capoeira Shoes, Capoeira South London, Capoeira TrainingHere’s a little info about Capoeira Shoes…
Capoeira Shoes or no shoes?
Some groups are quite strict about the wearing of shoes in Capoeira. In my opinion the no shoes policy is due to influences from eastern martial arts and the need by groups particularly regional to enforce discipline. Mestre Bimba and our own Mestre Celso always emphasise the importance of “Disciplina”. Slaves if given the chance would have worn shoes and also Capoeira is an art of the street and in those rodas shoes are mostly worn.
However nothing can beat the human foot and now even sports shoes manufacturers are recognising this and trying to develop shoes which mimic the foot action. Here’s a few great choices as Capoeira Shoes with a little review of each shoe…
